Ladies Night...

I'm getting so old!!!! so my mum is still around for the holidays and even though her birthday was in November and it was Xmas a couple of days ago she is now enjoying her birthday gift. I only see her twice a year so she normally gets Xmas and birthday at the same time, but I really have to make sure I separate them...
So what did she get? well I decided to give her a full pampering experience, starting with some exfoliant and creams from L'Occitane that I just love... and everytime she comes she just wants to steal them from me, a one hour swedish massage with my favorite massager Craig... OMG, hugh hands and no, it's not what you're thinking, but when he grabs a muscle, he really grabs a muscle and leaves you as light as you can be... I did feel I cheated a little bit because I normally get 90min :) but well, she doesn't know that... unless of course she reads this with her new latpop that her beautiful daughter (moi) just gave her for Xmas... after begging me for a whole year!
So she loved the massage and in order for her not to worry about how she looked, I had also booked a very nice scalp massage and had her hair blow dry... to continue with the day, we were looking forward for Chinese at my favorite Chinese place (for those of you that read that other blog, I also have one, I mean, don't we all....) I ordered an amazing Honey Walnut Shrimps, this is just so good.... and the clasic fried rice that I love, for take out... I had to later call to add an extra order of ribs that my mum had a craving for and she said they were the best she had ever had... made sure we had enough desert at home, Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Cookie Dough Ice Cream and Haagen Dazs's Dulce de Leche (Toffee) ice cream and ran home to a movie marathon with her favorite movie actress, Doris Day... I had found some strange not very well known movies at Netflix that she had never seen.... Teacher's Pet with Clark Gable (don't understand what our grandmother's saw in him although I love my Rhet Butler), That Touch of Mink (we later found out that we had seen that one) and The Thrill of it All. We came home, ate and started watching our movies... we saw the first one with one eye opened and one eyed closed, don't get me wrong, it was a nice movie, but we were just so tired and by the time we started watching the second we where in morpheus hands.... so straight to bed after realizing that 66min had gone by and we had fallen asleep like 10 times and it was only 10:30pm.
If I can't have a movie marathon, how am I supposed to party all night on New Years Eve... is this what getting older means? well, of course, later I woke up and can't fall a sleep, so here I am, I thought these things only happened to mothers and grandmas, not to the daughters!
I can say she has enjoyed her experience so far although we couldn't benefit of the marathon that I had planed for her, I just hope she doesn't miss out the last part of her birthday experience, I'm flying her business class back to my sister's this Saturday... I hope she can enjoying the pampering and meal of her 3 1/2 hrs flight and not fall asleep during the whole trip... I'll let you know ;-)
