WOW, For real.... really, WOW

I love movies, I love the kind of movie that make me leave the theater with a smile in my face... just because in my perspective it's a goooooood, goooood movie...
We all know what Xmas is all about, getting together with family, eating and watching lots of tv or lots of movies, catching up with what you haven't seen and that's pretty much what I've been doing... and know? well, my family all left... I'm fed up of eating (yes it happened and of course, come Jan 1st I HAVE to go to the gym) I'm all by myself again and what do I have left? movies :D
I drove my Mum to the airport today and on my way back I realized that I had nothing planned, so going back home didn't seem a great idea... so the best thing I could do? watch a movie I get to the theater and the only movie that was starting in a 45min window was Dreamgirls, I was curious about the movie, but it wasn't one of my top 5, nor 10... but there was a lot of buzz about the movie, so I bought my ticket and WOW it was a suprise, 2pm and the room was packed, all kind of people, young, old, really old and older, white, black, yellow, brown, green :) (I'm sure there were there although I couldn't see them :) )
Movie starts and there are these three naive girls trying to make it, they get hired to sing back up singers although we all know that they were meant for something else... LOL, there are really no more original stories sometimes.... I mean it's not the story, I know this stuff really happens, it's just they way they always present it... but moving on... it wasn't about the story, it was about the acting... not even acting, the performance!!!! I never in my life felt a performance get to me... I mean, you all know that I cry very easily, if a football player scores a goal, if an actor wins an Oscar, if I feel that something has been so unfair, if I'm angry and of course if somebody dies in a movie.... so in movies you don't need a great performance to make me cry, anything will do it... but this was different... Jeniffer Hudson, yes, the girl from American Idol is singing this song and acting and performing and WOW... OMG, I didn't know what to do, I didn't know if I should close my mouth or start crying for how powerful it was, I only knew that I was having goosebumps, that they were not stopping and that I wanted to do something, it seems that I was not the only one, when she finished everybody just starting clapping like crazy... I've never ever in my life have lived that in a movie, people where standing, screaming, wohooooing and it was just amazing... she was amazing... at the end of the movie, the credits started to run, actors faces showing up while their name came up and when people realized that, they stopped leaving and stayed...., first came the lead... Beyonce, Jamie Fox, Eddie Murphy, then the supporting cast, Danny Glover and other people that I don't know their names and they kept coming... smaller supporting cast and the people still waiting and finally it came up... And Introducing Jennifer Hudson as Elfie White and WOW again, people stood up and started clapping, people, let me tell you, it was amazing and not only that, but she made that movie what it is, you leave not caring about the story or what happened to the main characters, you leave the theater thinking that it's the best movie you ever seen because it's the best performance you have ever felt and then you realize that come on, it's really not that great of a movie, but you still leave with a big smile because it was a great performance... WOW.....
